If you’re thinking about visiting any time soon, or simply want to get an idea as to how expensive it is to stay in England’s capital – you might be wondering how much London hotels cost.
Well, we’ve taken some average figures from Booking.com, and the following table is what we found to be a good guide.
Central London Hotels | Average cost for single room | Average cost for double room | Check availability |
---|---|---|---|
1 - 2 star hotels | £60 per night | £80 per night | Check availability |
3 star hotels | £80 per night | £100 per night | Check availability |
4 star hotels | £125 per night | £200 per night | Check availability |
5 star hotels | £250 per night | £350 per night | Check availability |
You can usually grab a hotel on the lower end of the scale for around £60 – £80 per night.
With that said, the availability of these hotels are not as great as those at the higher end.
We took a random date in the near future and found that less than 10% of the available hotels in Central London were rated 1 – 2 star, and so we recommend booking these hotels well in advance before they sell out.
For those looking for some mid-range accommodation, you’ll be looking at around £80 – £100 per night on average.
There are a wide range of 3 star hotels to choose from in Central London.
On the higher end of the scale but not quite the highest, 4 star hotels in Central London tend to cost in the region of £125 – £200 per night depending on your room type.
4 star hotels make up the majority of Central London’s offering, and so you will have plenty to choose from.
For pure luxury for a nights stay in Central London, we found that hotels are usually priced in the region of £250 – £350 per night.
As expected in one of the world’s most expensive cities, there will of course be many more hotels that cost more than that – and we found that the most expensive hotels in London cost close to £1,000 per night in some circumstances.
