The European destinations open for business after Lockdown

*please note all Travel Corridors below have been suspended from Monday 18th January until further notice*

1. Gibraltar

All travellers must complete an online contact tracing passenger locator form and inform the authorities if you have been in a ‘relevant area’ (does not include the UK) in the 14 days before your arrival in Gibraltar. All arrivals from ‘relevant areas’ must self-isolate for 5 days, and be swabbed on Day 1 and 5 of arrival into Gibraltar. (UK arrivals currently face tighter restrictions due to the fears over a new Covid strain).

2. Iceland: No quarantine if you have already had Covid

Iceland has ditched its quarantine restrictions for arrivals who have an antibody test result no more than 14 days old that proves they have already had Covid-19. Everyone else must take a test at the border and a second test after five days before they can leave their self-isolation.

4. Madeira: Test before departure

You must complete and submit a traveller questionnaire before departure or on arrival. If you have one, upload proof of a negative Covid-19 test carried out 72 hours before departure.

On arrival, you will be subject to a health screening. If you have not uploaded a Covid-19 test result, you will be asked to show it at the airport. If you do not have proof of a test, you will be able to take one at the airport free of charge and asked to self-isolate at your accommodation until the results are known. This will take about 12 hours. (UK arrivals currently face tighter restrictions due to the fears over a new Covid strain).
