If you’re interested in visiting this tiny island any time soon, you might be wondering whether you can fly directly here from any Scotland airports.
Well, we regularly monitor flight schedules across the world in a bid to bring you the most up to date, easy to digest information, and here’s the latest.

We would usually recommend booking a package holiday to Malta.
Reason being, you’ll often get much better value compared to a flight only.
Besides, the final price will be packaged together into one simple booking and include your flights, hotel, full baggage allowance, transfers and ATOL protection.
And if it is a package you’re interested in, Jet2holidays would be your best value bet from Glasgow International who operate a seasonal flight schedule.
That said, there are also good reasons for booking a flight only, for example if you want extra flexibility of where you stay with the likes of Airbnb or Booking.com.
As illustrated within this post, there are two ways in which you can reach the island of Malta from Scotland.
From Edinburgh airport, you can fly here all year round thanks to Ryanair, as well as seasonally with Jet2 (new route for 2024).
From Glasgow International airport, you can fly on a seasonal basis thanks to Jet2.
We’ve compiled this information using flight aggregator tools such as Google Flights, whilst cross-checking these flight schedules directly with the airlines and travel companies mentioned above.
