Package holiday or flight only?

We would usually recommend booking a package holiday / city break to Spain.

Reason being, you’ll often get much better value compared to a flight only (especially with TUI who cover the vast majority of these routes).

Besides, the final price can be packaged together into one simple booking and include your flights, hotel, full baggage allowance, transfers and ATOL protection.

TUI’s website is fantastic in terms of user friendliness – just tap in Cardiff airport followed by your Spanish destination and you’ll only be presented with dates that are available to book which makes the process so much easier.

That said, there are also good reasons for booking a flight only, for example if you want the extra flexibility in terms of where you stay with the likes of Airbnb or Booking.com.

Conclusion

As illustrated within this post, there are currently plenty of Spanish destinations you can fly directly to from Cardiff airport.

Airlines operating these routes include TUI, Vueling and Ryanair – with a good mixture of seasonal and year-round options.

We’ve compiled this information using flight aggregator tools such as Google Flights, whilst cross-checking these flight schedules directly with the airlines and travel companies mentioned above.

To accomplish this to a high degree of accuracy, I’m regularly checking flight schedules and relevant news stories from a range of sources, and have great experience in doing so for many different routes.

That said, flight schedules can move quickly so please do leave a comment below you spot any inaccuracies or have anything to add – it would be much appreciated.

We hope you found this useful, and enjoy your getaway to Spain!
