If you’re looking for a holiday along the Costa Brava, or indeed a city break to Girona, we would recommend considering an ATOL protected package, especially if you’re booking with Jet2 or TUI.
The reason being, these two airlines offer a wide range of package holidays here alongside the flight, and so you can book directly with them and have everything managed by the same company.
Not only does this mean you will be getting the best price by going direct, you’ll also avoid booking through any third party or online travel agent – many of which are not reputable.
That said, for airlines that do not offer holidays such as Ryanair, we recommend loveholidays as one of the fastest growing online tour operators with a good reputation / ATOL protection.

We’ve provided links to their respective websites above so you can compare and book directly from there.

As illustrated in the table above, there are plenty of UK airports flying directly to Girona.
It’s a popular route not only for a city break, but also if you’re looking for a holiday along the stunning Costa Brava.
Routes are seasonal in the main, and the average flight time varies between 2 hours from London and around 3 hours from Scotland.
We’ve compiled this information using flight aggregator tools such as Google Flights, whilst cross-checking these flight schedules directly with the airlines.
And because the flight aggregators do not always catch every single airline covering every single route, we’ve also checked with all potential airlines flying from the UK to Girona to see if anything has been missed.
We work hard to bring you the most up to date and accurate flight information, broken down in a format which allows you to more efficiently find the best route for you, whilst providing links in order for you to book direct.
